Accessibility
Medical sales is a career, not a niche, and the people looking for one here include people who use a screen reader, navigate by keyboard, or need larger text. This page says what we have actually tested, what we found, and what we know is still missing.
What we aim for
WCAG 2.1 Level AA as the target. We are not publishing a conformance claim, because we have not completed the testing that would justify one. What follows is what has been measured.
What we have tested
Checked on 28 August 2026 against the live site: the jobs board, an employer profile, a lesson, and the sign-up form.
- Colour contrast. Every text element measured against the background actually painted behind it. Body text meets 4.5:1 and interface borders meet 3:1.
- Headings and landmarks. One
h1per page, no skipped heading levels, and a main landmark you can jump straight to. - Images and links. No image is missing alternative text, and no link is left without discernible text. Decorative elements, like the letter tile beside an employer name, are hidden from assistive technology rather than read out as noise.
- Forms. Every control has a label a screen reader can announce.
- Keyboard. A skip link is the first thing you reach on every page. Focus is visible on every control, and the tab order follows the page.
- Filter results. When a filter changes the number of results, the new count is announced rather than changing silently.
What that testing changed
It was not a formality. Three text colours were below the contrast minimum, five form fields signalled focus with a border too faint to see, and there was no skip link at all, so a keyboard user tabbed through the same eight header links on every single page. All of that is fixed.
What is still outstanding
Listed because you deserve to know the gaps before you hit one, not after:
- No testing with an actual screen reader. Our checks confirm the markup is correct, which is not the same as confirming the experience is good.
- No testing on a physical phone or tablet. Layout has been checked at phone widths in a browser only.
- The signed-in flow (uploading a résumé, saving roles, applying) has not been audited to the same depth as the public pages.
- No automated testing in our build pipeline yet, so a regression could reach the site before we catch it.

If a posting on this board is unreachable because the employer’s own application site is inaccessible, tell us that too. We cannot fix their site, but we can raise it with them, and we would rather know which employers are shutting people out.
