What an employer can see

Nothing, unless you turn it on. Recruiter visibility is off by default and stays off until you switch it on yourself. You can find it on your account, and you can switch it back off at any time.

With it on, a recruiter hiring for a role that matches your profile can see your name, specialty and experience. They cannot see your email address or your phone number, and there is no way for them to message you here. If you want to be contacted, you reply first.

With it off you do not appear in any recruiter’s results at all. Not anonymised, not aggregated: absent.

What we never do

• We do not sell your data. Not to employers, not to recruiters, not to anyone.
• We do not show advertising, and we run no third-party analytics or tracking scripts. Nothing on this site reports your browsing to anyone else.
• We do not email your current employer, or tell any employer that you have an account.

Cookies

One, and only when you sign in: a session cookie that keeps you signed in. It holds nothing but your account reference and is not readable by scripts. There is no advertising cookie and no analytics cookie, because there is no advertising and no third-party analytics. Fonts are served from this site rather than a font network, so loading a page here does not tell anyone else you were reading it.

Your résumé

It is used to match you to roles, and to show you why a role matched. Uploading one does not make you visible to recruiters. That is the separate switch above. You can replace it at any time from your account.

Leaving

To drop out of recruiter results entirely, turn visibility off on your account. It takes effect immediately and you disappear from every recruiter’s results.

To delete your account and everything in it, email hello@thelobbynetwork.com and we will do it. Self-serve deletion is not built yet, and we would rather say so than imply a button that is not there.
