Medical sales salaries

What employers actually publish, computed from every open role on this board that carried a range. Updated nightly with the board itself.

This is advertised base pay, not earnings. Most medical sales roles pay commission on top, and a $75k base at plan can out-earn a flat $130k. Treat these as the floor an employer is willing to put in writing, which is exactly what they are.

By division

“Worked at Stryker” is not one job. A rep’s division decides what they sell, who they call on and what they are paid, and no other board in this industry holds division-level research to compare against.

Compare these against the seniority table above, not against each other. A division median reflects whichever roles it happens to be hiring: Stryker Joint Replacement sits low here because it is currently advertising clinical specialists and associate reps, not because the division pays badly.

The honest limit: a posting has no division field, so a role counts toward a division when its title names one. That reaches 366 salaried roles across 17 divisions. These are the comparisons we can stand behind, not a complete matrix.

How these numbers are made

Every figure is the median of salary_min across open postings that published a range, recomputed from the live board. Medians rather than averages, because advertised ranges are lumpy and an average reports a number almost nobody is offered.

Postings below $30k or above $400k are excluded from the statistics: those are hourly rates parsed as annual, or executive outliers, and both distort a median more than they inform it. A slice with fewer than 8 roles shows no number at all rather than a fragile one.
